Hi all, I was using version 2.7 of this product for a long time, and my license came up for renewellrecently, and the version they offered was version 4. Is this accessible? Or should I go back to 2.7? ,

Can you get some sort of free trial to figure out if the product is accessible? If you stick with 2.7 will you still get the updated virus definitions you need for the anti virus to keep working?
Just wanted to suggest Avira Anti Virus if this turns out not to work, there's an excellent free version, it's pretty accessible, once you realize you need to choose the item you want to scan and press f6 to start the scan, there's a paid version of it that adds automation and real time protection stuff, think it's $30. I am not affiliated but I've had so much frustration with expensive, inaccessible and ineffective anti virus software (hello Norton anyone) that I do want people to know once I find something cool that works and I can use.
cheers and hopefully someone can actually answer your question, which I realize I haven't done.

I've been using Eset nod32 v3 for over a year, and that does have accessibility issues in certain areas, and when I asked GW micro if anyone was looking at creating a working script for this issue they told me that Eset were trying to fix the accessibility issues themselves for version 4. I'd not heard it was out yet though it had been in beta, so hopefully it will work much better than 3.

hi all. v four is much improoved. they even make mension of non graphics mode in the manual, and i think it's set to this by default. v good so far. though recommend uninstalling all older versions of nod 32 before going to this new one. it didn't like me installing over the top, even though it seemed not to complain at first. hth.

BlackBird, what version of wineyes are you using?

I'm still using nod32 v2.7, wonder if I should upgrade now? Back in September, when I paid my subscription, they recommended I stick with 2.7.

Exactly what part of the phrase "cracking is illegal" do you fail to understand? A company takes the time and resources to make their software accessible and you reward this effort by steeling their software. How is this encouraging more companies to incorperate accessibility? Don't the people who have designed this software so that you, as a visually impaired user, can use it deserve to be rewarded for their work? By cracking this software, you are essentually saying that you don't care that they have made the necessary improvements. Besides, this software is like $30. If it means you have to save for a month or two to afford this, so be it. Their are free anti-virus packages to use in the mean time. Come on, lets show a little respect for software companies!

Hi,
I indeed respect their effort in making things accessible and understand the story when it comes to cracks etc. accessible or not I will try what ever way I can think of in using any software.
I have been using this antivirus from version 2.7x
My reason for using a crakc version is honestly because I do not have the finances.
However had I been financially stable, I too would not use a cracked version.
You probably think that's a lame excuse, but I'm not working or anything like that yet.
and No, I wont go for a free anti-virus if there are better alternatives which have better protection routines.
I may have talked about a crack, but I feel just passing it on makes things even worse.
So, I use crack stuff but dont pass them on.

cheers.

more on v4. it's great, in that it will tell you if you are missing critical updates from windows too. that's fantastic. it will let you scroll through the list, then click on a button to send you to the windowsupdate site. fantastic adition this, as people so often forget updates to windows.

Hey, am I reading this correctly? The price for a year of nod32 is now $59? That is quite a price raise.

Secondly, if I decide to update from v2.7 to v4, do I need to call them or is there a way to do it via the website? I have 6 months left on my subscription.

Thanks all!
